Our meme this week is a prayer for our children and/or for our mothering skills.
My current prayer is for my daughter. There are days that she is the most loving, thoughtful person who has ever lived and then there are the others..... And we seem to be in the midst of a whole lot of others!
I'm asking God to develop in me the patience needed to love her and be nice to her even when she's not so sweet and cuddly. After all, isn't that how God loves me?! I'm also asking Him to continue to protect her mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually and to keep her heart His.
I rest in the knowledge that I can trust His sovereignty and love for her!

I'm glad you posted. I was wondering where you were :-).
I'll be praying for you and your daughter as I deal with those "other" times with my son too.
I'm currently reading a book, "To Train Up a Child", and it's giving me a lot of insight to what I've been doing wrong with my sons and what I can begin doing.

I've been so busy I haven't had time to stop in for a visit, but I think of you and pray often.
God will give you the grace you need for each day with the kiddos! Yes, there are days ya wanna hang them out the window, but as you said, I'm sure there are days our heavenly Father would like to do the same! Parenting...we're in it for the long haul! In that time, it is so amazing what God teaches us not only about our kids, but about ourselves!
Continue as you are doing to use each opportunity the Lord gives you for teaching what is good! You do the "homework" and let HIM do the "heartwork"!
