What Makes Your Life Better? and my First Giveaway!

Last week I visited several Pink Saturday posters that I'd never been to before. One I found that I really like is CollectIn Texas Gal. It was her first time to participate and she a four-generation story of sewing. She's in again this week & I've already peeked at her current Pink Saturday post. Get on over there, it's good!

To celebrate Pink Saturday this week, I'm offering you, my dear readers, the chance to tell me the things that make your life better. Current things, past things, things that cannot be touched and things that can. Whatever comes to your mind, leave me a comment & let me know! And because I just passed my 100th post, If you comment, I'll put your name in a drawing to win the pillow pictured here. And probably a little somethin' else too. If you're a follower of my blog, I'll add your name a second time. Not a follower already? Sign up! I plan to write a post on Monday, September 21st about the things that make my life better and I'll announce the winner at the end of the post. So the giveaway is open until Monday at 9:00 A.M. EST.

Love Pink? Gotta' have more of it? Go see Beverly at How Sweet the Sound. She organizes and hosts Pink Saturday every week for us all to enjoy. Thank you Beverly!!

Hugs, Leslie

Well, first and absolutely UNTOUCHABLE is the change the Lord Jesus has made in my life and how much better my life is b/c of HIM! THE BEST thing of all, hands down!

And YOU, my friend have made my life better. You love me where I am, yet challenge me when I need challenged! Thank you for that...and for praying for me! What a wonderful blessing you have been to me!

Of course, my husband makes my life so much better than it would have been with ANY other! I LOVE that man more than life itself!

Then comes my children...oh how my God has used them to grow me up! I love them with all my heart and still, after all this time, I pause at their bedroom doors each morning and pray for them, their husbands and their babies!

Prayer...that too has made my life better. Without that "lifeline" I would be nothing.

What a thought provoking post Leslie! Now...don't enter me in the pillow giveaway...send it to one of your pink lady followers! I just wanted to share some of the most important things that has made my life better!

Love you friend!

Retirement, good health, family and friends ... my Yellow Lab, Molly and my feral kitty ... books, music and writing along with Adult Ed classes, blogging, walks along the beach and practicing gratitude in each moment ... all of these and more make my life pretty wonderful. I count my blessings regularly. Of course, a little chocolate is good too but I'm more likely to grab crunchy salty snacks than sweets ;--)

Thanks for visiting me at Happily Retired Gal. I'm not sure why my WordPress ID is giving me problems today, but it's a good thing I can use my Google ID to leave a comment. Happy Pink Saturday and I wish you a wonderful weekend too.
Hugs and blessings,

It's so true that everything is better with chocolate.
My life is blessed with two fantastic children and a husband that loves me. Family is the most important part of my life. It warms both the spirit and the soul. I get comfort from family as well as the Lord above.
My home provides me with both the security I need and the comfort I want. Happy Pink Saturday to you and yours, Char

When the blossoms of summer begin to fade we can always count on Pink Saturday to bring a smile to our faces and to remind us that somewhere there are pastels and pretty things.

Thanks so much for sharing this week. I wish you sunshine and lollipops today and always.

Living and being healthy long enough to enjoy my great grandson, who just turned five. He makes getting up so much easier.

Hi Leslie,
First of all, thank you for the kind words about my humble blog. Being new to this blogging kingdom, I appreciate the encouragement.
Secondly, I wanted to name some things that make my life better. First and foremost would be my Father and His Holy Spirit. Crocheting a good, easy pattern makes me happy, too; a good cappuccino give me energy to do things; riding my friend's horse just makes my week; Netflix where we can get good Brit stuff;the library where I can get great books for free! I could go on....;)

I never thought I would ever say this before I moved here, but living on a lake makes my life better. It is soothing, beautiful and always something in nature to enjoy.
The chocolate pillow is adorable.

Thanks for stopping by during my first ever Pink Saturday post.

So many things make my life better...my faithful golden retrievers, my two loving kitties, my amazing children, my dear friends, memories of my dear parents, my sister and her family and of course God's love. No one can touch any of these things and I love each and every one of them.

The material things...ahhh the list goes on. Of course all my vintage/antique treasures. My house makes me feel safe and warm and I'm so thankful to have a job in this economy. In addition I work for a University so my days are filled with youth all looking forward to a promising future!

I could go on and on but you get the idea, I'm truly truly blessed and I'm thankful everyday for the "things" I have, people in my life and above all else the gift of health!

Blessings and hugs!

I have been having some health issues....darned acid reflux that prescription medications won't touch for some odd reason. My wonderful Husband goes out of his way to make sure I have all the healing foods in the house that he can find. I would not want to live without him.

Thank you for such a nice giveaway.

I need to get more time and check out your blog further.
