Pink Saturday

These hydrangeas are from last summer. We moved into this ho.me in July of 2007 and the hydrangeas that were here didn't bloom at all. I told Dr. Love while standing next to them in the fall that if they didn't bloom in '08 I was going to pull them out. Wouldn't you know, they had big, beautiful, gorgeous pi.nk blossoms! This year, only one had blooms and they were puny. Shall I threaten them again? Or just rip 'em out?!

Beverly at How Sweet The Sound continues to host Pi.nk Saturday for all of us pi.nk-lovers. Every week she contacts the over 150 bloggers who participate and complies a list of links to add to her own Pi.nk Saturday post. Head on over to her blog to find links to the rest of us. And leave her a little appreciation comment too.

I tried to visit some new folks this time and one of the blogs I found is Kat Collects. I like this gal very much! She lives in Washington state (which I love), has a son in the milit.ary along with a 14 year old daughter and has an eye for vintage, flowers, arch.itecture and various other interests that match mine :). Go visit her and tell her I sent you!

Leslie

Leslie, these hydrangeas are just beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing. Do not pull them out. Check with the local nursery and ask them what they plant is lacking. Maybe it needs a nourishment of some sort to encourage blooms next year. Have a wonderful Pink Saturday. Please stop by and say hi. I would love to have you visit. Country hugs, Sherry

I love when I visit you. Right from the start I see a home that is my dream. A one story mid-century modern reminder of what I had, and what I want again.

Our hydrangeas are in full bloom after a severe cut back last fall that left me wondering if we would have anything. It has rained virtually every day in Vermont during what the calendar called "summer". Maybe it is the rain?

Happy Pink Saturday!

Leslie, thank you for the warm welcome on my first Pink Saturday ~ so sweet of you!

I love the hydrangea photos you've shared... I hear many people have had difficulties with them this year (me included!) I'd probably give them another chance (unless you just cannot tolerate them, that is!)

Have a wonderful week!
