A New Year

Happy 2010!

Or 2k10 as the National PGA Tour is calling it in their commercials.

The remnant of Christmas 2009 still resides in my kitchen and living room in the form of a tree and various other decorations. I hope to have them all put away before I go to bed Sunday evening.

Do you make resolutions at the beginning of each year? I usually don't. I may determine to try to do this or that but I never firmly resolve.

Prior to the holidays, I was pretty good about getting my devotions done each morning; this year I'm going to try to follow a 1-year Bible reading plan. I started yesterday just to get a jump on it and I'm keeping notes as I go. I also need to get back to healthier food choices as the cookies and candies and sodas are showing again on my hips and-since I'm getting older-on my tummy too.
And I need to return to planning and implementing at least a week's worth of meals at a time. There are just too many nights that we're not sitting down for dinner until 7:00 pm and I don't like that.

And now for something totally different: the dishwasher repair man is scheduled for Wednesday morning.

Grace & Peace,
Leslie

The only resolution I remotely kept was to eat chocolate every day! ha!

I'm looking forward to the new year so much. I got a feelin' it's gonna be a good one.

How did you get your Etsy shop on your blog? I like that!

I've missed you! When are ya coming up again? And glad you're getting your dishwasher fixed! Now you have a place to spend your Christmas money! Ha!
I'm joining you on the plan for Bible reading...I've fallen so lax in that area and my life demonstrates it.
love you my friend...
p.s. I just found your check buried deep in my purse for the stroller system. I will go to the bank today. Ugh! Sawwy Chawwy!

You sound like my twin! I fell off the wagon during the holidays eating too much junk and putting soda to my lips! I know it's bad for me, I have osteoporosis and my doctor says that carbonated drinks are the worse for my bones! I also am trying to read my bible in one year and I am off to a good start. I need to pray harder that our weather warms up so I can start walking again! The snow from two weeks ago is still fully intact on our front lawn! It is cold here, brrr...

no resolutions for me because it's hard to resolve to do anything when you can't predict the future. however, i do set short and long-term goals (wait; is that the same thing?) lol.

Oh Leslie,
I'm so thrilled to have found you (through Jayme)! I'd love to hear what plan your are following on your Bible Reading. I've heard such good things about the One Year Bible, and think I should go get one.
I'm on a quest this year to get healthy and seek God. I'll pray for you, and look forward to checking in on you often.
Blessings.
